Gladys Anderson Napururrla

Biography

Gladys Anderson is born in Alroy Downs, near Barkly homestead, from Warramungu father and mother. As a child, she moved then to Rockhampton Downs, been to school there, then she moved to Tennant Creek where she has many jobs includings working in the kitchen of station, in schools before working at Julalikari arts (or Pink Palace) with Susannah Nelson and Lindy Brodie. Her favourite subjects are usually bush tuckers, ducks and crows. When she was working at the school, she was sometimes driving the kids out bush to discover her country.
